A day in the life of a SAHM

I was thinking today how I have sat down for maybe an hour total all day. All days are not this crazy, but here is an example of what one of these busy days looks like. I want to document it so one day I will look back and think "no wonder I was always so tired" and "no wonder I didn't talk on the phone much during the day."

6:45-Brady poops and needs help wiping
6:50-get Reece out of his crib and change his diaper and put him in clothes
7:00-lay our clothes for boys, they get dressed, then we head downstairs to eat breakfast
7:15-7:50-make Reece a bottle, put breakfast on plates and high chair tray, pour drinks, clean up breakfast, make coffee, wipe the baby down, wash out the bottle, wipe the table, I finally eat
7:50- change Reece's poop and kiddos play for a minute, start a load of laundry, start the dishwasher
8-Grant leaves to do sound at church (I stayed back with the boys since Owen was sick)
8-8:45-watch Veggie Tales and play with Reece, then talk about the lesson and pray with them
8:50-put Reece down for a nap
8:55-do a workout DVD (Owen and Brady wanted to do it with me)
9:40-finish workout and take a quick shower while putting on a show for Owen and Brady
9:55-Reece wakes up from his nap because Brady opened his door and he and Owen were being extra loud
9:55-11-sit on the floor and play with the boys
11-give Reece a bottle
11:15-make lunch for the boys, clean up lunch, I eat, put clothes in dryer, wash out bottle, wipe off table, play with boys a little bit
12:30-put boys down for naps, put up laundry, start another load of laundry, pick up a little bit, empty trash cans, clean bathrooms, dusted upstairs
1:30-2:15-I actually relaxed and watched a show
2:15-Brady and Owen woke up (Owen napped due to needing rest from fever)
2:30-Reece woke up and boys start playing
3-make a bottle, get snacks and drinks and bring them upstairs
3:05-boys watch a movie and Grant hangs out with Reece while I vacuum the stairs, bedrooms and bathrooms (cleaned all downstairs a couple days ago)
4:00-Grant vacuums the play room and I put up another load of laundry
4:20-head downstairs to start dinner, get Owen's
5:30-serve dinner, eat dinner, clean up dinner, wipe table and counters, make Reece a bottle
6:20-boys get a bath from Grant while I pick out Owens clothes for tomorrow, lay out pjs, get toothpaste on toothbrushes, and get meds ready
6:45-read to boys, give Reece a bottle, pray with them, talk about our days, and put them to sleep
7:15-me time and me-Grant time

Reece 11 months

Reece,

You are 11 months old!  We absolutely cannot believe that in just a month we will be celebrating your 1st birthday!

You still just have 6 teeth. We keep thinking more will pop out any day now.  You have become quite the little parrot this month. If you hear anyone say anything with the da or ba sounds you will say those syllables back to them. You have also started to baby babble which is adorable. You will look at your brothers or mommy and daddy and start "talking." You want to be big so bad and to have conversations with us. You started to wave when we say hi or bye bye and have clapped a couple of times now.

You are definitely a mover and a shaker. You are in constant motion and love to explore. This month you have discovered how fun it is to throw things on the floor whether it is food or toys or anything in close proximity to you. You still absolutely LOVE climbing the stairs and we had to buy another baby gate for the bottom of the stairs for you little crazy boy. You are starting to cruise around a lot more and I know walking will take place really soon. You will crawl so fast to something or someone you are excited to get to and will sometimes stop and look around to see where you want to go or what is happening. You have so many baby toys and you like exploring with them and playing with them but you would rather do whatever your brothers are doing (including putting their toys in your mouth.)

You celebrated your first Christmas this month. It was very busy with Christmas with both sides of the family and our Christmas at home. You were so cute how you had no idea what was going on and how you just wanted to put everything in your mouth or play with the paper. You also met Santa for the first time!

You still like to go to bed around 7/7:30 and wake up anywhere between 6:30-7:15.  You also still take 2 naps a day.

You are still taking 4 formula feedings and are still such a good little eater.   When you are ready to eat, see someone eating, or get brought into the kitchen you start smacking your lips together while making a clicking sound with your tongue. It is quite hilarious. Also when you are finished eating, you wipe all the food on the floor or throw it, and put your head over the edge of the high chair to watch it fall.

You absolutely adore your brothers and they love playing with you. It is so sweet.

We love you more than words can say and are so blessed that you are a part of our family.
