Pre-K, potty training, and baby boy

Owen started Pre-K on September 3. He is going Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 8:15-11. He is learning how to write his name and letters and is having so much fun with his new friends!

His class got to go to the Gentry Safari and had a great time seeing all of the animals and feeding them!  He loved having mommy, daddy, and Brady with him too!

Brady is about 70% potty trained! He is still in pull ups during the day but he is doing great with making it to the potty on time and is so proud of himself!

We found out we are having another boy! We are so excited about this new child and can't wait to hold him. We already know he is going to be so loved by his parents and brothers! Baby boy we are working on picking out a name for you still! I promise when you're born you will have a name.

Pregnant again...

So...after our ectopic pregnancy, I was of course a little scared and nervous about getting pregnant again. But, we decided to go for it anyways and to trust God over our own nerves. So, after getting the all clear from the dr, we got pregnant that first month. We are very excited! Seeing the tiny baby in my uterus today and seeing the little bitty heartbeat was amazing. There is truly no better feeling then knowing the baby in my belly is growing in the right place and is looking healthy. We even saw it moving!
Some of you who know me have heard me say a lot that I was CERTAIN I was done at 2 kids. Well...I eat my words. There is no greater joy to me than being a mom. I had a heart change and knew in my heart that I wanted another baby. After talking to Grant and praying about it, he knew he wanted another baby also. So after the ectopic, we are so excited to have a thriving and growing little gummy bear in my belly. We really honestly don't care if this baby is a girl or boy. The most important thing is that he/she is healthy. Stay tuned for more pregnancy updates as this journey continues...

Hot Springs/New Orleans vacation

Family vacation was so fun this year!  We decided to go on a week long getaway with the Morgans family.  I am adding some pictures from our vacation, but to see all the pictures, there is a Hot Springs and New Orleans album on my facebook page.

We left on Saturday, May 31st to go to Erin Lang's (Grant's life long friend) wedding. We went to a lunch and a jumphouse with Mimi and Emily before the wedding.  Then, we went to the wedding and we had a lot of fun.  The boys danced all night long!

Then, on Sunday, June 1st we went to brunch with some of Grant's relatives in Little Rock before heading to our campsite at Catherine's Landing in Hot Springs.  We met up with the Morgans there.  Then, Janna and I went to get groceries and we cooked a yummy meal over the campfire that night.

We stayed at the campsite in a yurt, which had nice beds, a mini fridge, air conditioner, and a table.  It was really nice.  The bathrooms were a short walk away.  On Monday, June 2nd, we went canoeing/kayaking, swam in the pool, and Grant and Justin went ziplining.

On Tuesday, June 3rd, we went into Hot Springs to the Children's museum, then ate lunch by the lake, then went to downtown Hot Springs to see the bath houses.  We then, of course, swam at the resort again.

Wednesday, June 4th, we slowly headed to New Orleans area.  We took our time and stopped at Paul Michaels, ate lunch at "The Dock" (one of our favorite seafood stops), and stopped at a nice rest area over looking the lake.  When we got to Kenner, we got to see Mawmaw Barbara, Aunt Kathy, Anna, and ate dinner at a restaurant there before heading to our hotel.

Thursday, June 5th, we went to the New Orleans zoo.  It was very hot and humid, but was also very nice.  The kids loved it! That night, we ate dinner at Mawmaw Barbara's house and got to see Uncle George, Aunt Sue, Mary, and sweet little Hudson.  We then, went and swam at the hotel.

Friday, June 6th, we walked around the French quarter a little bit, watching a band, the boys got a balloon, and looked at the sights.  Then, we walked around the mall by the Riverwalk, and ate lunch in the foodcourt,  before letting the kids play on the indoor playground and watching the big ships and boats in the water.  That night, we ate dinner at Mawmaw Barbara's house. Then, we went back to the hotel to let the boys swim.

Saturday, June 7th, we were going to take the kids to City Park, but instead chose to let them play at Mawmaw's house with their cousins.  We also got to see Jeralyn, Ivory, and Eden this day. We got to eat po' boys yum yum.  We then went back to the hotel to get ready for the wedding.  Sarah Schultz wedding was beautiful and it was great seeing all of our family.

Sunday, June 8th, we took the 10.5 hour trip back home.

We made so many memories on vacation and are so glad we got to get away for so many days.  The boys were definitely worn out after going to bed so many late nights in a row and only getting cat naps here or there, but it was worth it.
