Reece 10 months

Reece,

You are 10 months old! How have 10 months flown by so fast?

You are 30.3 inches long (95 %), 22 pounds 9 ounces (85 %), and your head is in the 96%. You are a big chunky boy!

This month you got dedicated to the Lord. Your brothers, parents, Eden, Aunt Jeralyn, Mawmaw, Pawpaw, and Mimi came to support us as your parents and to pray over you.

This month was your first Thanksgiving. We went to Louisiana to spend it with mommys side of the family. Lots of family got to meet you for the first time. They loved holding you and you are such a joy to be around. You did awesome in the car and the hotel too!

You have 6 teeth now and we're pretty sure you're working on more. Your new favorite thing is to make a farting sound with your tongue between your lips. It's adorable how you like to do it and have someone else do it back to you over and over. You love to say "baba" over and over. We are trying to get you to wave and clap but you are not wanting to yet and just think we are funny when we do it.

You are still so busy! We have to really watch you because you will put anything in your mouth, pull things down, and will crawl all the way up the stairs. You are so quiet about it so it is hard to know what you're up to at times. We keep thinking you'll walk soon since you're cruising so much, but maybe not! We'll see...

You like to go to bed around 7/7:30 and wake up anywhere between 6:30-7:15.  You also still take 2 naps a day.

You are taking 4 formula feedings still.   You are still taking some baby food, but are such a pro at finger foods now too! You LOVE to feed yourself now and are so good at it! You don't seem to be a picky eater. You love yogurt melts, baby puffs, Cheerios, cheese, and fruit most of all.

We love you sweet little man!

Reece 9 months

Reece,

You are 9 months old! It hit us last night that we will be celebrating your birthday in only 3 months!

We still haven't weighed or measured you this month. Sorry kiddo, life is busy. But looking at your belly and how clothes are fitting you, you are most definitely growing!

This month you got to dress up for your first halloween. You looked so cute!

You love to make sounds. This month you have started screaming if you don't get your bottle right when you want it or if you are super tired. This is the first month we have experienced screaming in the car. We think your teeth are bothering you and you are just not a happy camper at time but are also learning that screaming gets you what you want sometimes. Speaking of teeth, you finally got the top two in and are working on your canines on the top and the bottom. Cutting teeth is hard work!

You are so busy! You crawl everywhere now, pull up on everything, and try to eat everything. You are starting to push things across the room while walking and are cruising around  while holding onto the coffee table. You can also turn completely around while standing to get to where you want to go. You finally figured out how to get from standing holding onto something back to crawling. You are all over the place and we are having to remind your brothers not to leave little toys on the floor that you could choke on.

You have been sleeping through the night so good this month. You like to go to bed around 7/7:30 and wake up anywhere between 6-7. We still have a random night or early morning wake up, but for the most part you are sleeping awesome. You have figured out how to stand up in your crib when you wake up too.  You have late nights every once in a while when we are out and you do great going to bed when we get home.  You also still take 2 naps a day and sometimes they are car seat naps. You are so go with the flow though.

You are taking 4, sometimes 5 formula feedings still and you have started liking baby food a lot more this month. You are holding your bottles by yourself now which is super helpful when I need to do something before I can get to you. You are funny because when you are full you either start blowing fart sounds on your tray or lay your head down.  You are starting to eat a little bit of finger foods. We haven't given you too much food yet because you have gagged and thrown up on it. You are starting to learn how to chew it and swallow better.

You are trying to say uh oh (it sounds like uh uh), have waved when I say bye bye or night night, and have said mama and dada (even though I don't think you know you're talking about us.)

We all love you so much little man! You really do complete our family.

Reece 8 months

Reece,

You are 8 months old! So many milestones have happened this month!

We didn't weigh or measure you this month, but we can tell you you are growing so much.

Your hair is almost back in completely now and is a light brown/dirty blonde. We can't decide what color it is going to be yet!

You are still such a talker, squealer, noise maker, and love to smile.  You love your brothers so much and smile so big any time you see either of them. You have figured out how to make noises this month and love to put your mouth on things to make sounds or hit your high chair tray. Maybe you'll be a musician?

You are officially crawling! Not only that, you are starting to pull up on things to sit up on your knees and can go from sitting to crawling and from crawling to sitting now. You still just have two bottom teeth, but everything you get your hands on goes in your mouth.

You are taking 4, sometimes 5 formula feedings. You were just weaned from breastmilk fully this week. You are still waking up randomly in the middle of the night, although it's usually because you're gassy, you get stuck, or you've been snotty and are having a hard time breathing. You are a little bit more into baby food but you also don't really care much about it, which is unlike either of your brothers.

You take 2, sometimes still 3 naps. You go to bed usually between 730-8, SOMETIMES waking up in the middle of the night, and then wake up for the day around 7. You still love to be rocked too and are such a snuggle bug.

You bring so much joy to our lives every day sweet Reece!
