Reece 3 months

You are 3 months old! We really can't express how much joy you bring to our lives. You are one special little boy and everyone who meets you loves you. 

We think you are around 14 pounds now, but you don't have a dr apt this month so we're just going by our scale. We don't know how long you are but you are definitely getting longer because some of your sleepers are getting too small! You are still in anything from 0-3 months (although most of these are getting too small) to 6 month clothing. Now that it's getting warmer, we get to start seeing more and more of your chubby body in onesies. 

You are such an easy going and happy baby. You smile constantly and are "talking" and making new sounds every day. We all just love being around you.  

You LOVE your thumb and are so good about soothing yourself. It is so sweet to see you put that little tiny thumb in your mouth!

You make the funniest facial expressions and it is almost like we can tell what you're thinking. 

You are eating between 5-6 times a day, take 3 naps, and sleep anywhere from 9-11 hour stretches at night. Mommy is very thankful that you are sleeping through the night now. You still nap on the go most of the time, but you absolutely love your car seat so that definitely helps. 

You love to blow bubbles with your mouth and you end up having wet clothes and a messy chin. 

You are a snuggle bug and we love it. Since we know you are our last baby, we are soaking up the snuggles as much as we can. You love to sit in your bouncer or lay on your play mat and talk to your animal friends. It is the sweetest thing. Your legs will start kicking like crazy and you smile and coo. You have also started loving fans. You will stare at them like they are the coolest thing you have ever seen.  You have also started getting so much stronger this month with pushing up while on your stomach. 

You are still taking the occasional bottle like a champ! You and your brothers stayed with mommys friend so daddy and mommy could have a date and you still take bottles from daddy too. 

You still love bath time and you get so still  when we pour the water on you. We are excited to take you to the pool for the first time! 

We love you sweet baby Reece and are so glad you are in our lives. 

Reece 2 months

Little buddy we can't believe you are already 2 months old! Seriously time needs to slow down!

You are 12 pounds 2 ounces and are 23 inches long. You obviously have outgrown your newborn clothes, and are in anythjng from 0-3 months to 6 month clothing depending on the brand and whether it was used or not. 

Buddy, you just bring so much joy to your brothers and to mommy and daddy. You have recently started smiling so much and LOVE to "talk". You have definitely found your voice and will babble on and on for as long as I'll listen. You also try to find people now when they're talking or will follow them with your eyes. 

You are eating between 7-8 times a day, take 3 naps, and sleep anywhere from 4-8 hour stretches at night. You do great napping on the go and that is awesome since we are always going somewhere. 

You love to snuggle, but also love to be by yourself in the swing or bouncer. You can lift your head up and look around and can turn your head from side to side. It is so fun experiencing new milestones with you.

You had to get your 2 month shots and only cried for a quick second and you were fine. I hate having to watch you or your brothers get shots but know it's needed too.

You are such an easy going baby and only get mad if you're hungry, tired, or have gas. 

You took your first bottle from daddy and did so good! We are hoping that you continue to do good on the occasional bottle so mommy and daddy can have some date nights!

You could be super cranky and the second you get in the bathtub you get quiet. You love water and it calms you. You will probably like going swimming as much as your brothers do!

We love you so much our sweet third born and are loving every second of watching you grow up.

How is it possible that you are 5?!?!?! We seriously cannot believe it. You are such a big boy now!

Your party this year was at our house. We had a Superhero LEGO party based on the LEGO movie that you LOVE to watch. You and mommy had a lot of fun planning your party and mommy had a lot of fun making everything.  A lot of your friends came, and also your cousins, Brady, your Aunts and Uncles, Mimi, and Mawmaw and Pawpaw!  You had a lot of fun and had fun playing "Pin the circle on the Lego", hitting the piñata, watching a Lego show, eating cake, opening presents, and playing with all the kids. 

You have grown up so much this past year. You have learned so much in PreK this year and are getting ready for kindergarten! You know every upper and most lower case letters and can write some of them and trace all of them. You can count objects and can count to 50. You can write your first name and almost your last name. You are learning to identify what letter words start with by sounding them out. You know your address and phone number. 

You went to enroll and test for kinder with mommy and I'm not going to lie, I teared up a bit. Just the thought of you going to school is unreal because it seems like just yesterday you were a baby. You are so smart, although you are also stubborn. If you don't feel like doing your work at school, you will just say "I don't feel like it." But you are getting better at doing what you're suppose to and we know you will do great in school next year and will learn, mature, and develop friendships.

The days you are home, you LOVE to play Legos. This has become your new favorite thing. You love using your imagination, and will make noises and talk while pretending. You also like to play with trucks and cars, on the swing set, read books, and dress up. You love to play with other kids including Brady. You play really well and make friends easily. Your favorite shows and movies are "Odd Squad", LEGO movie, The Iron Giant, Power Rangers, anything that is Super Hero, and Wild Kratts.

 

Your allergies are still an issue, but we have started a daily steroid and singulair and you have finally turned a corner and are not coughing all the time. I can tell you feel so much better.

Just recently you have stopped taking a nap some days and will rest and read books in your bed instead. There are days you do still nap too. You have started having a harder time going to sleep some nights since Reece has been born, but it has gotten better every day and I can tell you are adjusting. 

You are a good eater, but we are working with you on finishing up a bit quicker because you get so distracted. Your favorite foods are pizza, peanut butter (Wow butter) and jelly, gogurts, cheese crackers, and chocolate cookies.

We love you so much buddy and never want you to forget how special you are to us. You are so sweet and will tell us all the time that you love us and can't go to bed at night without a hug or kiss. You are analytical, love to play by yourself sometimes, and sometimes march to your own drumbeat. We want you to always know that it is ok to be who God created you to be and love how unique He made you. You are one of a kind and we love how cute, smart, handsome, funny, creative, sweet, and precious you are. We love what a good big brother you are and how helpful you are around here.

We can't wait to continue watching you grow up and to see what the future holds for you. We know that you will be successful at whatever you put your mind to. We love you our sweet first born, red headed boy and always will.
